Business and Service Support
Part time (16 hours per week), salary circa GBP16,000 (pro rota)

Your primary responsibility is to provide support across the whole service. Initially your focus will be to provide administrative support during core times, and as the business grows, to provide cover as identified by service needs. We are therefore looking for a person who has the ability to turn their hand to most things, with an eye for attention to detail, and who will be very flexible in their approach. You could be: working in the chapel (the ability to play an organ would be advantageous); crematory; office; grounds (horticultural or scattering of ashes); meeting and greeting bereaved people, providing guidance and support. The hours of this post are flexible. You will need good IT skills and demonstrate that you are well-organised, motivated and able to provide the support needed by bereaved people.

Determined by service requirements, when reacting to personalised requests both post holders will be expected to work shifts to accommodate a seven-day working rota; hours will vary, but will be determined by service delivery requirements. Therefore weekend working and occasional evening cover will be required. There is a requirement that these post holders are on call for the alarm system via a four-week rota.

Adapting to meet customer's individual needs is crucial, so the ability to multitask in a busy environment is essential, as is carrying out and maintaining a high standard of cleaning and general housekeeping, both inside and out - there will also be a responsibility for carrying our minor repairs and maintenance.

To apply for these permanent roles: In the first instance to find out if this is the role and environment for you, please contact Tracy Lawrence, Manager and Registrar for Nene Valley Crematorium on .
