Asbestos Surveyor - Somerset
We are currently looking for an asbestos surveyor to join our busy team based in Wellington, Somerset. Applications from trainee or experienced surveyors are welcome.
We carry out management, refurbishment and demolition surveys in order to determine the presence of asbestos within domestic, commercial and industrial sites across the south-west. Duties will include:
Sampling materials suspected of containing asbestos
Preparing site sketch plans of the surveyed properties
Photographing areas of asbestos within the surveyed properties
Recording all findings on an electronic handheld device on site (TEAMS)
Liaising with clients and tenants on site
As a trained surveyor you would be expected to hold the BOHS P402 certificate and have experience of asbestos surveying within a UKAS accredited organisation. If you have no previous experience but would be interested in this role then if selected, full training will be given. As a trainee, you would be expected to have GCSE English and Maths and educated to A Level Standard.
A full driving licence is essential and a company van will be provided for your use.
The position is based on a 40-hour working week with a salary of between GBP18,000 - GBP24,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The company operates a flexi-time scheme that allows the post holder to come and go as the work and their hours dictate.
