Learning Support Assistant / LSA - Bristol Secondary School
A Secondary School in Bristol is looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to assist and support KS3 and KS4 students. This is a temporary vacancy for the duration of two terms commencing immediately.
The Secondary School in Bristol has a high percentage of children with Special Educational Needs statements spanning a variety of additional needs including speech impediments, autism, global delay, dyslexia and emotional behaviour difficulties. Each student requires a different level of support and a different approach.
The Learning Support Assistant will support Teaching staff in the creation and delivery of education plans, giving the teacher and SENCO detailed reports on the students' progress. The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with the SENCO to identify the level of support required from each student and manage his/her timetable accordingly. As Learning Support Assistant you will also attend and participate in staff meetings and training.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will:
-Have 12 months experience as LSA or TA within a Secondary School
-Be experienced in supporting a range of Special Educational Needs
-Be familiar with the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
-Be exceptional at building relationships
