Fund Launch Business Analyst

Edinburgh - Niche Business Analyst - up to GBP400 per day.

EA Change Groups' Edinburgh based retail banking client urgently requires a motivated and experienced Niche Business Analyst to join them on an initial 6 month contract but extensions are possible.

Supporting the design, build and launch of a set of new Retirement Funds for the adviser and direct to consumer channels as part of a flagship Financial Planning and Retirement (FP&R) Programme.
These will support the business's Group & Individual Pensions, building on the successful launch of the Premier Pension Portfolio range and are designed to be used through the retirement phase of a typical customer journey.

Responsibilities

The Niche - BA will be responsible for the analysis for the design, build and launch within the Retirement Funds project.

• This project is one of the top Financial Planning and Retirement projects for 2017, and therefore a high profile role.
• Responsible for the analysis required to support the launch of a new set of Retirement Funds.
• Responsible for translation of the requirements gathered, traceability and documentation into the build and launch phases.
• Production of standard BA deliverables as part of the Change methodology using effective communication, presentation and reporting writing skills.
• Responsible for gathering the requirements for 'Take to Market' activity and their traceability through to production of sales support materials.
• Working closely with key Stakeholders and using key influencing skills to help keep the project on track and aligned with the Life, Pensions & Investments Release Footprint.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills will be key and the ability to work proactively in an indirect supervision environment will be required.

Skills required for the successful candidate

A strong skill-set and demonstrable track record of delivery within strategic business development projects including:

• 3 years experience of funds design and fund launch, preferably with Retirement Funds knowledge
• Requirements gathering and specification
• Analytical skills
• Communication, presentation and reporting writing skills.
• Stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Workshop facilitation Skills
• Ability to work proactively in an indirect supervision environment
• Fund and Investment accounting knowledge
• Knowledge of the fund manager selection process
• Experience of regulatory documents eg prospectus, fact sheet etc.

This role is a Niche BA role due the in-depth (3 years minimum) knowledge needed in funds design and launch, preferably within the Retirement Funds arena.
