Job Summary

We are continuing to expand our team and are looking for a Manager, Engineering to join some of the industry's brightest minds that are dedicated to providing our customers and partners with security value and outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

?? Lead an engineering team at our Belfast office. Manage a strong full-stack team by providing guidance on technology, architecture and all aspects of software development methodologies.

?? Bring your hands on, in-depth systems, applications and security knowledge to provide leadership and guidance to the team.

?? Work with Product Management to define the roadmap. Represent the team to the Senior Management.

?? Responsible for leading a team of full stack software and infrastructure engineers to develop end-to-end applications and analytics products.

?? Maximize the added value to both the team and the work under development with a creative systems-thinking approach.

?? Lead an organization of Development and DevOps engineers with hands on management.

?? Responsible for working on global projects with multiple teams of engineers involved in the product delivery life cycle. Must have experience delivering scalable, high quality production software.

?? Able to fit in well within a dynamic small company environment.

?? Ability to manage multiple, complex, independent projects and keep them on schedule and budget.

?? Coordinate product directions with Senior Management and Product Management. Create development and deployment plans, execute on a phased development schedule and conduct integration testing working with remote teams in the US.

?? Manage day-to-day development activities by being an example to the team. Must be pro-active self-starter.

?? Relentless focus on customer devotion.

?? Excellent communication skills and experience to work with oversea head quarter engineering teams.

?? Experience on estimating project effort and scope for services.

?? Must be willing to travel to headquarters in Houston, TX and other locations.

?? Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, tools, data feeds to meet scalability and growth targets, create prototypes, create and carry out phased development and deployment plans.

?? Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

?? 5+ years of relevant experience managing a SaaS engineering team.

?? Experience producing and integrating enterprise applications and on premise appliance based products.

?? Knowledge of software installation/deployment processes, performance and scalability.

?? Substantial knowledge of Enterprise Systems and Architectures.

?? Proficient with Python, NodeJS, Java or another modern Web Stack. Experience in Erlang or other functional languages is a plus.

?? Experience with databases, including graph databases.

?? Knowledge of Cloud / SaaS based infrastructure, using Amazon AWS, EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, etc.

?? Strong communication and leadership skills.

?? Work well in an agile team environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

?? Experience with large scale, data processing and analytics systems.

?? Experience with data mining, machine learning.

?? Experience with security products, IDS/IPS, Web security managers, etc. is a plus.

Education

?? Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
