A large multi-national corporation is seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join their transport team on a permanent basis, and assist with major bridge and tunnel projects for rail transportation services. Our client has worked on a catalogue of notable transport projects for local and central governments, which has helped boost their reputation to an admirable level. This is the perfect opportunity for a Structural CAD Technician to join a motivated team and work in a professional and fun atmosphere.
You will be joining the West Sussex offices and undertaking a number of roles and responsibilities which will include:
- Creating accurate and detailed CAD drawings that match given specifications
- Ensuring deadlines for models and drawings are met
- Assisting with the development of junior team members
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders when required
In order to ensure the successful delivery of projects, it is essential for candidates to have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- HNC in a civil or building engineering discipline
- Proficient using Microstation or AutoCAD, AECOsim and Revit software
- Experience with use of clash detection
- Excellent written and verbal communicational skills
- Experience in delivering successful projects for large rail companies including National Rail, TFL or Crossrail etc.
- Highly motivated with good organisational skills
As well as the essential criteria, it is desirable if candidates have the following experience:
- Detailing reinforced concrete using software packages including CADSRC or Bentley Rebar etc.
- Experience detailing structural steelwork
