Commercial / Financial Assistant
Abatec are working with a regional Environmental / Construction Contractor, based in Highbridge, to recruit for a Commercial or Financial Analyst.
Working closely with the Managing Director and Finance Director, this position will provide commercial assistance to the operational teams with the following responsibilities:
- Processing of all Purchase Orders from requisition stage through to invoicing.
- Obtain approvals for all POs prior to issue.
- Assisting with locating suppliers that offer Best Value for Money.
- Liaising with personnel, finance and external suppliers over all invoice queries.
- Preparation of invoices for signature by the Director where appropriate.
- Timesheet control and administration.
- Maintain registers of all requisitions, purchase orders and invoices to allow tracking and financial reporting.
- Providing Audit Trails Reports at the end of the month for each of all live projects and distributing them to relevant parties.
- Maintaining register of Insurance Certificates for all contractors and companies used - obtaining the renewed Insurance Certificates when due, keeping updated scanned and hard copies
- Keeping an up to date register of Capital Minor Works Requests, scanned copies of all applications received. Be the first point of contact keeping all Stakeholders up to date with the status of their applications.
- To achieve savings and value for money in all procurement
- To participate in Supplier Performance Reviews, audits and actively work on ways to consolidate suppliers without compromising quality in terms of service delivery.
Ideally you will have come from a construction / civil engineering background and will have demonstrable administration skills - an understanding of waste water treatment would be hugely beneficial.
