Then an exciting opportunity has arisen for you to drive continuous improvement in the role of Service Improvement Officer.

Our client is a social housing provider with 7,500 properties and a turnover of £44 million. As a member of their Business Improvement Team you will be responsible for the preparation and interrogation of monthly performance reporting data working pro-actively with colleagues around the business to determine the facts. You will provide challenge and support in order to get the real issues highlighted and acted upon.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the team to deliver its business improvement programme. It's a great opportunity to learn about the Trust's main continuous improvement tool - LEAN - and to become a lean practitioner able to support the delivery of its planned review
  • Be the first point of contact for the initial assessment of any customer complaints and compliments and work with colleagues across the business to ensure appropriate actions are undertaken and learning points identified
  • Ensure that the Clearview Strategic Management IT System is fully used to support the Trust's strategic and operational development and be an expert in its functionality providing training, coaching and guidance to employees on its operational use.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Good general education up to A2 level or equivalent
  • A self-starter with the ability to plan and co-ordinate work and deliver successful results to strict deadlines
  • Information Technology literate with high competency in the use of software packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and good publication drafting skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers who may be angry, anxious or distressed in a professional manner both in writing and in person
  • Resilient, highly motivated, enthusiastic, tenacious with the ability to challenge, negotiate and influence in a variety of contexts
