Location: Witham, Essex
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

The Buildings Maintenance Manager Role:
Our client works in contemporary offices centrally based in Witham and are now looking for a Buildings Maintenance Manager to take responsibility for the buildings and grounds.  

This role encompasses taking full responsibility for the appearance and functions of their building and surrounding grounds, therefore they are seeking a Buildings Maintenance Manager who will take pride and ownership of the duties.  

Main Duties:
Manage and take responsibility for all company buildings/ properties and surrounding land including:

• Maintenance
• Appearance
• Repairs
• Improvements
• Building works, planning and project managing
• Building security
• Implementing adjustments in line with Health & safety
• Cleanliness of buildings
• Overall, to forward plan and execute seamless repairs and improvements with minimal disruption.
• Gardens and grounds

The Buildings Maintenance Manager Role:
The ideal candidate will have experience in this type of role, however it is not entirely essential. You will have a skill / trade that will benefit the business such as electrics, plumbing, painting / decorating / gardening etc.

You will need to be self-motivated, organised, have a keen eye for seeking out tasks and be tenacious.

Their business is that of providing their customers with the highest quality solutions and the environment in which they work must reflect this. After initially proving your abilities you will be tasked with managing contractors and projects.

This department already has a member of staff, whom will report to you. It will be your role to ensure suitable delegation of tasks to this employee, however, this is very much a hands on role, meaning you will need to get your hands dirty. This is not a desk based role, you will be working around the building and in the gardens.

Our client is a Witham based retail display manufacturing company. They have over 25 years of experience of working with their customers to provide bespoke solutions for all display requirements.

They have recently expanded in terms of the materials they work with, whilst working with acrylic was an area of expertise for them, they are now experts in joinery and other capabilities (in house).
