We are looking for a Microsoftdeveloperto assist in major upgrade programme to move 2 manufacturing businesses from legacy ERP systems with bespoke windows applications to a new cloud and browser based ERP. The role requires a mix of reconfiguring, troubleshooting and development of legacy VB6 applications to work with the new cloud platform in the very short term whilst also creating new applications where required to complement the ERP platform and allow decommission of legacy applications.
Role
- Develop efficient, robust web applications to complement our core ERP solution
- Reconfigure, troubleshoot and small amount of development of legacy applications
- QA on all work
- Unit & component testing of applications
- Ensure appropriate documentation has been completed
- Utilise Agile methodologies
- Troubleshooting defects
- Work as part of a team to develop a strong knowledge base
- Quickly prototypes and iterates on ideas.
What skills and qualifications do I need to be a successful Applications development lead - Manufacturing?
- Experience in developing .NET web applications (ASP.NET, C#)
- Experience in Visual basic 6
- Experience of Oracle and SQL server databases
- Strong desire for exploring, evaluating and understanding new technologies.
- Ability to clearly articulate creative ideas to senior leaders.
- Ability to collaborate with technical team members through the SDLC.
- Oracle EBS, Epicor Tropos ERP or other Tier 1 or 2 ERP systems exposure a plus.
- Background working with food or process manufacturing a plus
