Due to continuing business success and growth they now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Fuel Reception Operative to join their team in Beddington.

Fuel Reception Operative key responsibilities:

• Carrying out routine tasks and testing of plant equipment.
• Updating the shift log including plant and process changes, diligent shift handover to ensure effective communication to the following shift.
• Direction of people on outside plant and communication i.e. dealing with telephone calls in accordance with the Beddington procedure.
• Assisting with all shutdown activities within the plant ensuring plant downtime is minimised, also carrying out front line maintenance to ensure plant availability is maintained.
• Controlling of vehicle movements in the tipping hall area ensuring compliance at all times.
• Assisting with loading and unloading operations.
• Operation of overhead cranes, mobile plant and machinery.
• Carrying out front line maintenance activities within the tipping area and whole plant if requires.
• Carrying out random inspections of Delivered waste to ensure compliance with the EP (PPC) permit and record, reporting any none-conformances.
• Assisting in completion of relevant reports within the Fuel reception area.
• Ensuring that all defect reporting within CMMS is effective and followed through to completion promptly and that PPM's are completed as require.
• Ensuring that all activities within the plant are carried out in a safe manner in line with Beddington safety policy and all HSE requirements.
• Complying with all PPE requirements including COSHH chemical handling.
• Reporting any potential safety issues and control any hazards as required.
• Carrying out risk assessments to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner at all times.
• Working as part of a team striving for continual improvement in minimising Health & Safety risks at the plant.
• Working as part of a team for continual improvement to minimise environmental impacts at the plant.
• Recording and reporting any impacts or potential impacts on the environment to the Shift Team Leader.

The ideal Fuel Reception Operative:

• Experience in the operation of mobile plant
• Computer literate
• Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently
• Numerate and literate
• Lifting / Slinging, plant or FLT certification

In return we can offer a salary of up to £26,919.13 and a shift allowance of £1,850 per annum for unsociable shift patterns outside of normal office hours but not involving night cover. i.e 6-2 and 2-10 or days and backs, for a Company that strives to be environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.
