Senior Quantity Surveyor

My client, a leading private main contractor, are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. 

This contractor is a family owned construction business, undertaking a wide range of construction work along the M5 corridor from Swindon to West London and from Aylesbury to Southampton. 

Current projects range in value from several thousand up to four and a half million pounds and covers all sectors of the industry - housing, education, restoration, leisure, health, commercial and retail. We have an in house Joinery Division and a nucleus of directly employed craftsmen which give us direct control of quality, especially when undertaking refurbishment projects, as well as a team of selected specialist subcontractors. 

Duties will include, but are not limited too, the following: 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Preparing Tender and Contract documents 
• Preparing Bills of Quantities 
• Risk Management and Cost Control 
• Sub Contractor Work Allocation 
• Preparing Accurate Progress Reports 
• Completed Work Valuations and Payments

Key Experience and Requirements:

• 5 Years Quantity Surveying Experience.
• Degree qualified (or moving towards professional membership) is preferable.
• Multi Faceted contract experience (JCT Primarily)
• Excellent communication/ Team work capability.
• Computer literacy.
