Who you'll be working with
These are brand new teams with a 'start up' feel, with big opportunities and loads of room for development. To help us on our journey we are seeking a talented Senior UX Designer to help craft compelling, consistent and effective digital experiences that all our customers love.
We'll give you a chance to work across industry-leading products and services, working in an Agile environment with a bunch of lovely and very talented folks.
The main sky.com website receives over 7 million visits a week with users researching new products and services, accessing account management and looking for help. Our targets are tough and the business moves at a quick pace.
Within Online Customer Service, we manage those areas of the site concerned with Account Management, Help and Contact Us, as well as the Customer Service App. We are responsible for delivering an intuitive and compelling online service experience that will improve customer goal achievement and deliver call reduction; achieved by delivering data-driven improvements and new service propositions.
What we're looking for
Idea / concept generation
UX leadership and excellence
Execute UX design work that adheres to best practice brand and consistency standards
Ensure creative and UX coherence across Sky's digital estate
Maintain and update Sky's global online brand guidelines, principles, templates and assets
Practice and promote contemporary UX thinking
Knowledge and thirst to investigate, innovate and develop emerging design, UX and technology trends
Work to push boundaries and drive leading edge UX design
Skills and experience
Degree in Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, or HCI, or equivalent experience
Experience in a similar large media company or leading digital agency
Proven experience in UCD, human interface guidelines, standards, and best practices as they apply to platforms and devices
Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies, with an ability to conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking, create user journeys, user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes
Experience working within an agile delivery environment, and in a highly collaborative manner with multiple skill sets
Experience of designing digital services for consumption over web, mobile and social platforms
Proven ability to drive increase in audience engagement through design
Strong background in gathering business requirements and translating these into workflows, wireframes and sitemaps
Experience with web metrics (Google Analytics or Omniture)
Proficient with tools and applications such as InVision, Sketch, Axure and Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to own and lead multiple projects, delivering on time and on brief
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Be self confident, flexible, motivated and an exceptional communicator
