This post is offered on either salary Grade E (£21,220 - £23,164 per annum) or Grade F (£21,164 - £26,829 per annum), dependent upon the criteria as set out in the attached Job Descriptions and Person Specifications.

We are looking for a technician to assist with the provision of high quality teaching and research for the new Department of Engineering. You will have the opportunity to gain experience and training in a wide variety of engineering based subjects including Electronic, Sport, Biomedical & Mechanical. Initially you will work mostly in electronic engineering including applied systems and mechatronics. Duties will include assisting other technicians in the provision of services to teaching and research laboratories, general cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment and helping with stock control. You will possess a good standard of general education with at least three years' relevant experience, ideally in a HE environment, and be qualified to NVQ 3, ONC/OND, B/Tec certificate or equivalent in a relevant subject

There is a requirement for the postholder to work outside normal office hours dependent on the needs of the business.
