Up to GBP 46,611 per annum + GBP2,907 Car Allowance per annum
Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience

Rother District Council is looking to appoint a suitable candidate to the role of Neighbourhood Services Manager following the retirement of the current post holder. You will be a qualified and experienced professional with drive, organisational ability and vision to lead the team at a time of significant change and development. This position is based within the Community and Economy Service at Rother District Council providing a range of essential environmental, leisure and amenity services to residents in the district.

You will be responsible for achieving the highest standards for our waste and recycling, street cleaning, parks and gardens, sports and leisure facilities, public conveniences, car parks, beach operations and coastal defences. You will manage contractor performance against service standards and be responsible for overseeing risk assessment and health and safety systems.

Key requirements for this role include previous contract management, leadership skills and drive, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with commercial contractors, politicians and the public.

You will have the scope and opportunity for driving improvements in our services, developing our facilities and increasing Council income.
