Service Technician - Audio Electronics
Opportunity for a Service Technician to join a high-performance consumer audio manufacturer, to provide customer support and carry out servicing, testing and repairs. Previous experience in the audio industry is not required, but experience in electronics servicing is essential.
The company are known for their exceptional engineering, high quality products and excellent sound quality. They offer a generous salary as well as a benefits package, and are looking for a like-minded person to join their friendly, knowledgeable team.
You'll be responsible for:
-Assisting customers over the phone and via email
-Fault finding of electronic circuits to component level
-Fault diagnosis, repair and service of returned products
-Scheduling customer repairs and supplying spares
-Monitoring and analysis of supplier quality
-Working with R&D to understand and prevent problems during production
-Tracking faults and identifying common issues
Experience testing or servicing audio products is not essential, however you do need experience carrying out fault diagnosis on electronic products, to component level. You also need good knowledge of both digital and analogue electronics, and appropriate diagnostic strategies for each.
This is a customer facing position so you also need to be confident talking on the phone and have good communication skills too.
