St Monica Trust provides high-quality, innovative care and support for older and disabled people. We recognise that in our changing society, as care needs increase, managing at home can become more and more difficult for many older people. We also understand that many older people wish to remain living in their own home for as long as possible.

"I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoy my job, it is very rewarding knowing you have made a difference to so many people that wish to remain independent within in their own homes."

Care at Home delivers tailored support and care to individuals within their own homes, when they need it. We support people with the day-to-day things like: getting up and getting to bed, delivering personal care, helping with meal times, light cleaning duties, changing bed linen and shopping. Under the guidance of a Senior, Care at Home Workers may also administer medication and deliver other complex health-related activities including end of life care. Companionship is also an important part of our Care at Home service; going out for a walk or perhaps being accompanied to appointments and activities. Delivering a service that is led by the needs and preferences of our customers, enabling them to continue to live at home, means the roles we offer are varied and interesting. Not to mention of course, at times, challenging.

"People who've come from other care agencies are surprised to learn that our staff are on contracted hours, that travel time is paid and that we pay above the living wage."

What we're looking for:
Naturally you'll be a kind, punctual and friendly person, able to strike up conversation and have a positive and professional communication style. You'll hold a great regard for maintaining dignity and respect and ensuring choice and control in the way your service is provided.

If you are ready for this new challenge, we look forward to hearing from you.

You can find more details about the role and the person we are looking for, through the role profile, which is available on our website.
