We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational member of staff with responsibility for leading and developing the Academy's facility for students who attend alternative provision both on-site and externally. The successful candidate will also have a strategic role in developing the attitudes towards learning of all students.

This is a key post and we are looking for applicants who have a proven record of success within a similar environment. You would be responsible for leading a committed team of staff and taking a strategic role in developing the department in its
drive for excellence and continuous improvement where pupil achievement for all is at the heart of every discussion and decision.

The person we are seeking will:
• Have experience of working with students who have behavioural difficulties.
• Have the skills to manage and lead the on-site provision including its team of dedicated staff.
• Have proven experience of motivating and inspiring disengaged students.
• Have a flexible approach.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to people on different levels.
• Be a team player with the ability to work using your own initiative.
