Lecturer / Course Leader – Performing Arts BLUL49512

Kingston

Salary £21,210 - £38,299 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance

Our client is one of the highest performing Colleges in London, rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in June 2016. The College has reinvigorated its focus on improving the student experience, raising student aspirations and delivering consistently good and outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. As a major provider of further, higher and adult education to over 10,000 students, their staff have quality at the heart of everything they do.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer / Course Leader to drive forward an aspect of their Level 3 Performing Arts / Dance provision. Joining our Creative Industries School, you will have a specific brief on achieving excellence in teaching, learning, assessment and creative innovation.

You should be qualified to degree level (as a minimum) in a relevant subject area and have a thorough understanding of what makes for excellent evidence based teaching, learning and assessment in your field. Recognised as a good or better teacher, you will have experience of successfully monitoring and supporting ‘at-risk’ learners to achieve or exceed their potential and have a strong commitment to equality and diversity, safeguarding, personalised learning and the provision of educational excellence.

Hardworking and flexible, you will have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills along with a keen eye for detail. The ability to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines and being receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem solving is paramount.

Those with skills in technical aspects of dance and choreography, advanced movement, directing, contemporary acting and performance skills, business and academic skills are highly desirable.
