Customer Service Adviser - Digital Bristol / Bath £20k to £25k p.a. depending on experience

Online / webchat customer service adviser required for exciting new Bristol / Bath start-up energy company

The Role

As Online / Webchat Adviser, you will provide customer service across digital channels ( live chat / social media / email ), acting as single point of contact for questions, guiding customers on how to self-serve and "owning" issues through to a positive resolution. Duties include:

  • dealing with customer enquiries via digital channels
  • assessing customer feedback to improve service
  • handling issues and customer complaints as they arise
  • communicating in writing to a full range of customer enquiries
  • directing customers to relevant online support or seeking technical guidance if required
  • maintaining comprehensive knowledge of company product / services

The Company

Our client is a brand new start up business and you will be among the first of many employees, currently based within walking distance of Bristol City Centre, but an office move to Central Bath is planned. It is sustainable "energy sector" business with a conscience, developed to meet the increasing demand for a new response to the environment and current operating norms. Using smart technology and a shared customer community platform, they are building a consumer-focused technology business.

The Person

As Online / Webchat Advisor, you will be excited at joining the business at this early start-up phase - lots of exciting developments are planned and whilst essentially an online / webchat / customer service focus and ability is required, the role(s) may evolve into diverse areas and functions. You will have the opportunity to help develop the company's service proposition with your commitment to high quality service and natural sense of curiosity. Training will be provided, but you will bring:

  • flexibility in approach, minimal supervision, ability to multi-task
  • experience of working in a customer service environment
  • knowledge of digital channels to communicate and provide service to customers
  • knowledge of business, social media, content management, blogs etc.
  • excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Initially the role is Bristol based, then moving to new offices near Bath railway station.
