Team Leader
Overview of role
To lead and manage a team of assessors and internal verifiers who deliver QCF qualifications to our customers
Main tasks
1. To support the assessment team with their task and to ensure that learners are at or ahead of target and that they understand the timeframe and potential penalties
2. To support recruitment, supervise and appraise assessors/verifiers in conjunction with Can Training Limited Human Resources Department
3. To develop and maintain customer relationships, working with the Management and other Can personnel.
4. To plan and lead Standardisation Meetings, collate agendas and distribute minutes and supporting materials in conjunction with the Administration Team
5. To identify, source and monitor and record the continuous professional development of self and others in their team
6. To prepare for and attend External Verification periodically and any other events provided by the Awarding Bodies by agreement with the Director of Services
7. To contribute information for employers on learner progress as required and to use the Break in Learning Policy and Warning Letters appropriately.
8. To report issues of concern to the Directors in writing when necessary with the appropriate urgency and discretion. To attend regular meetings with the Director as required.
9. To be involved in the research and development of suitable resources to support assessors, verifiers and learners to achieve
10. To represent Can Training Limited in a professional manner at all times and be part of its management team.
11. To be able and willing to deliver short training sessions as part of a learning package to a range of groups and in a range of settings
Terms:
The salary: GBP27,500 in year 1. Review and Appraisal after 12 months in post
Hours: 37.5 hours per week- flexible and home based working is allowed
Holidays: 20 days per year plus 8 Bank Holidays
Probationary Period: 6 months
Pension: Scheme in place from May 17
