Business Administration/Management Apprentice
Luton, Bedfordshire
Our Company
Vauxhall is the only car manufacturer to have consistently produced cars in the UK for over one hundred years. Whilst our roots in the early days of automotive development give us plenty to celebrate, our success has always been founded on our forward thinking philosophy and drive for excellence. A job with us could not only provide a sustainable career, but an opportunity for you to develop your skills amongst forward-thinking technology and people.
Vauxhall is not only a leading brand in the automotive industry but is also known and awarded as one of Britain’s top employers.
Our Programme
Vauxhall Apprenticeship Programme is an excellent opportunity for you to learn, earn and work towards your degree, all at the same time. This will allow you to study towards a Chartered Management/ Business degree whilst gaining practical experience in the workplace.
What to Expect
Our programme will take 3 to 4 years to complete depending on current qualifications. At the end of your apprenticeship, given you pass your assessments and expectations set, you will receive an award title of BA (Hons) Business & Management.
Whilst studying for your Business Management Degree you will work within our key commercial functions. This includes Sales, Aftersales, Marketing, Purchasing, PR and HR. You will be based at one of our three Bedfordshire sites – Our Headquarters based at Griffin House; Luton Manufacturing Plant and Toddington Aftersales Warehouse.
You will be expected to rotate to at least 2 different roles to develop your business acumen whilst being coached by your line manager and mentor. During your apprenticeship, you will be supported to identify which areas of the business you would like to focus your long term career in.
What we are looking for
To be considered for this programme, you should have the following:
- GCSE English language and Mathematics at Grade C or above or equivalent qualifications
- 112 UCAS points (e.g. 2 GCE A Levels OR 1 BTEC Diploma) or equivalent
- Based and eligible to work in UK
- Management experience not required
- Ability to travel within Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire areas. You might be required to travel within the area to attend training courses & events so flexibility is required
- Those without the required points but with relevant work experience will be assessed individually for eligibility
We are looking for someone who is keen to make a difference, with a strong drive for results and wants to build their career in a very dynamic environment. You will have the ability to work independently but also as part of a high performing team. Strong communication skills and problem solving skills are essential for you to be successful.
