Embedded Firmware Engineer - Cambridge - (30-40k plus benefits package)
My client are an innovative and forward thinking market leader, having consistently grown over the past decade they are looking to continue with the addition of a strong and enthusiastic Embedded Firmware Engineer to join their talented engineering team.
The Job Role
The successful candidate will become an integral part of a very successful engineering team. Unlike many roles you will have full exposure to the full development Lifecycle with your imput being valued from concept design through to product launch.
Key Responsibilities of the role
- Low level Firmware development in C
- Production test equipment development
- Work collaboratively with the Electronic/Mechanical design teams
- Documentation and Version Control
The Ideal Candidate will posses the following skills
- 1st or 2:1 degree in Engineering, Physics or a related degree
- Knowledge of Firmware development on Microcontrollers (Language: C)
- Development throughout the full Lifecycle
Desirable skills...
- Knowledge of development on the ARM family of Microcontrollers
- Knowledge of development for sensors/actuators
- Assembly language development
- Microcontroller peripherals (SPI,I2C, ADC,GPIO)
- Understanding of Hardware (PCB layouts and Schematics)
