An exciting opportunity has arisen for an advanced customer facing 3rd Line Support Engineer to join a highly motivated and dynamic team in a long standing and very rapidly expanding IT support & services company based in Frome, Somerset.

Essential Experience & skills:
- 5 years+ of 3rd line support ideally from an MSP / IT services background, or another area of business IT Support.
- Windows Server 2003/8/12
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- VMWare (ideally with VMWare certification)
- Storage Arrays (SAN) technology
- Office 365 & Azure
- Firewall technologies (WatchGuard, Cisco, CheckPoint)
- Microsoft certification is essential

Personal Skills:

- Strong organisational & documentation skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Beneficial Skills:
- Experience of using PSA systems such as AutoTask or ConnectWise
- SQL server administration experience
- Remote Desktop Server / Terminal Server

Primarily working as part of a support team you will deal with customer faults that are escalated from their front line and 2nd line teams. You will also be involved in larger customer installations and infrastructure projects where required.

The role is office based but will require travel for on-site rectification and project work at their customers' sites, as such this role requires a full clean UK driving licence.

This role is based in Frome, Somerset. A short commute from Bath, Trowbridge & Warminster.

The business works in a shift pattern, primarily between the hours of 8:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday and we will need you to be able to work flexibly to support projects which are often scheduled over weekends or evenings. You may also need to be available for emergency response on evenings & weekends as may be required.
