Do you share our vision for the Back O Hill Bar? The pub is located a short distance from Stirling city centre, Stirling is a city in central Scotland with a population of approximately 90,000. The Back O Hill presents an opportunity for someone with strong local links to drive and develop the offer. The surrounding area is predominately residential however with strong marketing there would be the opportunity to attract new customers either through the university or from the local Sainsburys superstore and passing trade, especially if utilising the space and full facilities. There is a proposed refurbishment that would be considered for the right applicant and would include an external decoration with signage and lighting as well as focusing on the beer garden and potentially re-developing the area with benches. Internally, the proposal would be to re-decorate throughout and create a small kitchen area. We would look to adapt the lower ground area to ensure that there is an area for locals to enjoy a bite to eat or socialising with friends and family whilst having a drink or two. Although this is Admiral Taverns vision for the Back O Hill, we are also looking for applicants to bring their own vision to the table to provide a welcoming pub to the local community.

Refurbishment considered with the right licensee
Trading style
This pub to let has previously operated as a community local but has potential to develop both a food offer and entertainment based events and business. The previous customer base is made up of locals and regulars however there is opportunity to attract customers from surrounding areas especially with a carefully planned and focused advertising campaign and introduction of entertainment, live sport, updated product portfolio and regular events. The pub has previously supported local pool and darts teams however this would need to be re-introduced. The pub should be the heart of the community for private parties as well as regular events and activities. The right applicant should aim to build a relationship with the locals and the business needs a strong and able operator to bring back previously achieved trading levels.
Trade accomodation
The outlet trades from an open plan room with a bar servery decorated in a traditional style and in reasonable condition however the pub would benefit from some internal and external cosmetic improvement. The ladies and gents toilets are located to the rear of the pub. The catering kitchen is also located to the rear of the pub, and there is an opportunity to introduce a simple, good value food offer with some additional kitchen equipment. To the rear of the pub is a smoking solution that has the facility to be used as a patio area and to the left side of the pub is a small car park for up to five cars.
Private accomodation
The private accommodation is located on the first floor and consists of four bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, office and family bathroom.
