Commis Chef - The Castle Inn Hotel
Job Introduction
Working as part of a small brigade, your main duties will be to assist in the preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times and ensuring that the designated Kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the Inn.
Role Responsibility
The Commis Chef will be responsible for;
Assisting with the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the kitchen operation, which provides meals throughout the day.
Having a keen interest in food preparation, able to understand instructions and paying attention to detail.
Working as a team.
Understanding relevant health and safety requirements with regard to food handling, storage, hygiene.
Assisting with all food preparations as delegated by the senior chefs
Following recipe guidelines and standards as set by senior chefs.
Being flexible and accommodating in the provision of catering requirements for guests and visitors to the Inn.
Making sure areas of work are kept clean and tidy

Have the enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Basic kitchen & knife skills
Have a good understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen
Possess a willingness to work to high standards
