Prospero Teaching is looking for a Special Needs Teacher for a specialist school in Watford, Hertfordshire starting in September 2017.

*Caters for children with Complex Learning Difficulties, some Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder
*Students aged 11 - 16 years old
*Large focus on individualised provision for each student
*Works closely with other professionals such as Occupational and Speech and Language Therapists
*Offers weekly training in Complex Learning Difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder provision, meaning you will be developing as a teacher throughout your time here
*Excellent and structured career progression is on offer to the right teacher

The successful Teacher must have:
*Qualified Teacher Status
*Experience in a Special Educational Needs setting, preferably with Autism Spectrum Disorder, whether as a Teacher or Teaching Assistant
*A genuine passion for teaching and learning, particularly for students with Complex Learning Difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder
*Ability and willingness to contribute to the ethos of the school
*An optimistic outlook and the skills to encourage students to achieve their highest potential
*Good classroom management
*Successful experience teaching Special Educational Needs students, preferably Complex Learning Difficulties
*Willingness to partake in appropriate accredited Continued Professional Development training
*Willingness to contribute to wider extra-curricular school activities
