Area Engineer - Team Leader
Salary:GBP32k - GBP37k+ (Dependent upon experience)
I'm currently recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader to operate within a FMCG business based locally to Warrington. The position is a new role in which a few key elements are essential to being a successful candidate, therefore the position is available immediately.
It is the responsibility of the Team Leader to support production maintenance, problem solving and improvement activities throughout although this role isn't specifically on the tools. Compliance knowledge is key to improve areas of electrical infrastructure, systems and ways of working whilst providing technical advice and support to capital projects, procurement and third party contractors and contracts.
Examples are the following (Although training could be provided if necessary):
* Performance tracking and High Voltage maintenance reviews
* H/L Voltage, contract management of Fixed Electrical Testing and repairs
* Safe system of work - LOTO development and implementation
* Management of contractors for Pressure Systems and Lifting Equipment inspections.
* Work equipment Risk Assessments.
Accountabilities:
* Achieve against Production and Engineering KPI targets
* Budget Control
* Reactive vs Planned Maintenance
* Compliance to activities involving Engineering
* Safe systems of work by Packaging Technicians and Contractors.
* Lead the area electrical compliance, upskilling when identifying opportunities and risks, update and manage all drawings.
* Support new installations and alterations to design install and commission in compliance with local standards
Experience:
Have a understanding of the legislative standards, e.g. EAW, PUWER, LOLER, PED, Machinery Safety, Functional Safety (SIL), DSEAR, HV/LV
Qualifications:
Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH)
17th Edition & Testing and Inspection
C&G Testing and Inspection
Full UK clean driving licence
CAD
Degree level in Electrical & Process Control engineering or similar Or HNC level in Electrical & Process Control engineering or similar.
