Role: Welding Engineer
Sector: Engineering
Location: Preston
Salary: GBP38,000 to GBP42,000 + Benefits
Reporting into the Welding Team Leader the role of Welding Engineer will be responsible for the following duties;
- To undertake the role of Welding Engineer in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO3834
- To ensure that all necessary information to carry out welding operations
- Ownership of customer specifications.
- To determine product standard/s to be used together with any supplementary requirements.
- To ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
- To confirm the client has the capability to meet contractual and specification requirements.
- Development of site welding operations through assessment of plant, equipment and process.
Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a time served / HNC qualified Mechanical Engineer with welding experience. Experience with using BS EN 3834, BS EN 1090 Product Standards. Experience working within a highly regulated industry.
