Are you an experienced engineering professional with experience of ensuring multiple customer orders are completed on time and in full? Are you self-driven, tenacious and can think outside the box to tackle any problems?

Headquartered in the UK a 100 year old global Manufacturing and Engineering company with a turnover approaching GBP250 million focusing on rotating equipment has grown organically year on year offering an excellent career opportunity to build on the company's reputation for engineering excellence already in place. The company offer a full design, build and repair/MRO/aftermarket service working across a variety of sectors including: mining, oil and gas, marine, power generation, defence, cement, water, paper, steel and general manufacturing/engineering to name a few. They are one of the market leaders in this industry sector with manufacturing facilities on every continent.

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to ensure the successful co-ordination of "end to end" projects ranging from spares to complex solutions, ensuring on time delivery, managing customer expectations and internal/external suppliers.

- Full customer management across all given projects
- Identify business and projects risks during the proposal and bid process
- Providing resolution for problems
- Accounting for project cost, time and budget
- Reporting project status to the business, internal and external customers
- Working to mitigate programme risks
- Maintain business KPIs and Business Systems

The Candidate:

- Be self-driven and possess good people management skills
- Experience within a mechanical rotating product e.g. Gears, transmissions, motors, drives etc.
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system would be beneficial
- Able to work under pressure and can manage prioritisation to ensure contracts are completed on time
- Understanding and working knowledge of financial costing and customer quotations
- Service driven, innovative, reliable and assertive
- A HNC, degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering is preferred but not essential for this role
