Field Service Engineer - Electrically biased
Tamworth, Staffordshire
to GBP29-35k + vehicle + ben
Our client has been established for more than a quarter of a century and specialise in the planned preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of the complete range of special purpose waste processing machinery, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a multi skilled Electrically biased Site and Field Service Engineer to complement their established and professional team and operate between a static location and field service capacity basis as required.
It is an essential requirement for this position that you possess 17th Edition IEE regs certification or similar electrical engineering qualifications along with a full clean UK driving licence.
You will be provided with a company vehicle and tasked with visiting customer sites throughout the UK conducting servicing and general works on the complete range of special purpose machinery. This includes PPM and servicing, and fault finding for breakdowns. This is a customer facing role so experience in a similar role essential.
Whilst experience of building or wiring electrical control panels is essential for the position, a hands on approach with a background in mechanical / electrical / hydraulic engineering is also required with welding experience proving distinctly advantageous.
A self-motivated individual able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, you will possess previous experience of fault find, diagnosis and repair on a range of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as experience of permit to work' protocols and other company safety rules and regulations for the purposes of provision of safety, and be skilled in evaluating the operational status of all processes and services and developing plans to ensure continuous running as well as ensuring that planned maintenance standards are maintained.
In order to be considered for this varied and challenging position, you will demonstrate a flexible, self-motivated and pro-active approach with strong organisation and planning skills and the ability to integrate quickly as an effective team member. You will possess excellent customer facing communication skills at all levels and be both commercially aware and capable of operating with the minimum of guidance whilst ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.
