Hardware Installation Engineer (Field Based) x3 is required by a highly successful International organisation of note based in Crawley, however, due to the nature of the role the location is open. My client operates internationally and across the whole of the UK so the job holder can be based in any part of our region, not necessarily in the UK, you must have the right to work across the EMEA region despite the majority of the role being UK based. Once on site, the engineer is expected to manage and coordinate all activities associated with the particular project including liaison and negotiation with the local engineers, distributor management and Project Manager, hospital physicists and technicians, site contractors and relevant departments.

Responsibilities:

• Install without supervision, all systems within the product portfolio to the required specification and quality within the project time-scales.
• Knowledge and proven skills in electronics, mechanics, PCs and Servers, networking, high vacuum, high/low voltage & current, diagnostic equipment and a general knowledge of all engineering disciplines.
• Locate a fault & repair at board level and below.
• Operate at all times in accordance with our specific quality system and complete the administration requirements of the role in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ability to manage own workload, be highly motivated, dynamic, have good leadership skills and be a good problem solver.

Qualifications:

• Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in a related engineering discipline or relevant work experience
• Experience of installing or servicing complicated capital equipment (Technical knowledge of radiotherapy equipment in the field or a hospital setting would be desirable)
• Engineering skills: mechanical, electrical, electronic fault finding, plumbing, vacuum, radiation Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, MS Office Applications, networking and Control applications.
• Ability to travel (domestically and internationally) up to 75%
• Other languages would be a significant plus
• This is a field based role so a driving licence is a requirement.
