Lead Software Engineer

.Net, C# Team Lead required to work for buoyant business based in Worthing, West Sussex. This role represents a rare opportunity to lead the development of a multi-million pipeline of projects in a dynamic and friendly environment, based in the picturesque coastal town of Worthing. Building on a successful existing product, you will be tasked with producing the next generation of applications and services.

Using Microsoft stack and open source products, you'll have the flexibility to bring in the best technologies and tools needed to best meet the business requirements. In addition, you will have the drive and skills to help to recruit and develop a team of exceptionally talented individuals.

The role will be hands on where you will need to demonstrate your technical excellence but also be able to lead, motivate and develop your team of 4 Developers. This role will be 30% people management and 70% hands on development.

Key Requirements:

• Able to demonstrate a high level of technical excellence in addition to being able to take decisions and also lead and develop individuals
• Experience of working within Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

Thorough understanding of the following technologies: -

• Agile/SCRUM
• REST, SOAP, C# .NET Web API, MVC, Entity Framework
• UML Modelling
• Clouding Computing (Azure & AWS)
• Champion the adoption of new technologies to improve productivity and quality
• Able to juggle multiple priorities, using own initiative and motivation to meet deadlines and set priorities in a fast paced environment
• A Financial Services background would be an advantage
• Ability to operate at all levels within the organisation and maintain inter departmental relationships to support a close culture of cooperation and collaboration.
