Senior Chef - St Albans
The Snug Bar is an independently owned and expanding business serving a great range of cocktails and comfort food, your local reinvented. A social hub which is a home away from home.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced and organised kitchen manager or sous chef at our St. Albans bar to assist in the daily operation of our busy bar.
As part of this role you will be required to assist in the leadership and management of the kitchen team, all aspects of daily food service and will be given relevant training to form an integral role in the effective management of kitchen operations and food quality.
In order to fully manage this role, you will need:
A proven record of maintaining high quality and consistency to company specification during busy and none busy periods.
Maintain a clean kitchen to high standards.
A good understanding of stock management, control and budget.
At least a years experience either as a kitchen manager or sous chef.
Be an individual who can work well both within a team but also someone who can build on initiative when alone.
Have a keen eye for quality and detail in all kitchen operations.
Work in conjunction with the general manager to enhance food sales growth and maintaining food margins.
Have a strong understanding and adhere to food safety management systems and current environmental health laws.
Be someone with strong leadership qualities who will have the ability to train and develop all new and existing team members.
Have the ability to contribute to company food standards and food development.
