Our client is an established creative branding and packaging design agency based in the Bristol area. They are currently looking for a commercially savvy Business Development Director to join the team as part of the plan to further their growth ambitions.
The main responsibility of the role will be to set a focused marketing and new business strategy and take full ownership of its delivery. You'll be driving awareness and conversion.
We are looking for a senior Client Services professional hailing from a brand and marketing background, with a proven track record of assisting in the winning of new business.
Main Responsibilities
- Raising awareness of the agency, elevating their reputation and driving prospects.
- Working collaboratively with all internal departments to creative pitch winning moments!
- Line management of a Marketing Assistant
- Leading pitches in a central role, with support from creative teams
- Identifying target sectors that will ladder into their broader business objectives.
- Day-to-day (supported) ownership of the new business function. I.e. taking new business targets and translating them into actionable and measurable tasks.
- Ensuring that all projects are properly resourced and planned for, facilitating seamless handovers into the agency once work is confirmed.
Role Requirements:
- You'll have a rounded set of skills; for example: Pitch delivery, relationship building/nurturing, marketing savvy, creative literacy, macro understanding of a plethora of sectors and markets
- You will be an energetic storyteller!
- Strong understanding of client servicing
- You'll be a confident presenter, naturally.
- Hands-on presentation software experience (Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
- A clean driving license and a valid passport (there may be the occasional pitch abroad)
- You'll have infectious enthusiasm and generally.be a nice person!
- Any digital experience would be brilliant, but this isn't essential.
