JOB TITLE: Senior Residential Care Workers
SALARY: Starting from GBP22,392 per annum plus benefits

WORKING HOURS: Full time on a rota basis, part time applications will also be considered
THE COMPANY: Our client is a childcare organisation providing an integrated service to young people who have experienced trauma in their lives resulting in emotional behavioural difficulties and requiring a high level of intervention. They are currently looking to recruit Senior Response Residential Care Workers to join their teams based near Penkridge, Staffordshire and Newport, Shropshire.
THE ROLE: This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to work for a caring organisation, where you can really make a difference to the lives of the young people you support. Working as a Senior Residential Care Worker you will be responsible for caring for the children and young people in all aspects of their home lives as well as providing guidance and supervision to the Residential Care Workers.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Residential Care Workers role to include:-
??? To promote normal development of children and young people
??? Protect children and young people from threats to health, welfare and normal development inside and outside of the service environment
??? Create a homely setting to which the child or young person can identify
??? Assist in the development of links between the service, community and child or young person, allowing the child or young person to become an integrated member of the community.
??? Assist with domestic duties and educational needs
??? Undertake supervisions for the Residential Care Workers
??? Help to lead and manage team on shift
??? Help with training and development of the team.
Key criteria essential for the Senior Residential Care Workers role:
• Full manual UK driving licence and access to own transport
• Able to work shifts on a rota basis (which will include sleep ins)
• Previous experience of working in a similar role
• Achieved, or be nearing completion of:
QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare - Children and Young People or equivalent:
Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People's Workforce or NVQ in Health and Social Care- Children and Young People).
• Successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring check.
