Ecolab have an opportunity for a Pest Biologist to join the Southern Technical Team. This is an interesting and varied role that will bring you into contact with a wide range of people and challenges and include working as part of a great team, working Monday to Friday 40 hours a week.

Pest Biologist Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Regional Technical Manager you will provide technical services & support to Ecolab and its customers, carrying out scheduled technical inspections to Ecolab premier corporate clients in and around Berkshire. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Identifying any current pest activity.
  • Analysing past trends and providing advice to our customers on how to reduce the risk of future pest problems.
  • Reviewing existing contracts to ensure that they remain appropriate to the site in line with pest risk, external audit standards and customer requirements, together with an assessment of Ecolab service delivery.
  • Providing technical support and expertise to company associates and its Customers. This can include troubleshooting, advising on control schemes, identifying pests and taking part in and advising on sales surveys.
  • Biologists also deliver training to Ecolab staff, customers and other parties. This includes practical training, coaching and formal presentations.

The ideal Pest Biologist:

To be successful for this position you will be educated to GCSE standard and hold a full UK driving license with less than 6 points. You will have an RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management or equivalent. You will also possess:

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Proven relevant practical experience.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised on your own initiative
  • A proactive problem solver who enjoys working with others to achieve good results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Flexible, as the job may require travel and additional working hours including some overnight stays
