We are looking for an experienced transport planner to join our busy and friendly office in central Bath, working mostly on private sector development projects, ranging from small housing schemes with difficult access through to large mixed-use regeneration schemes. Our core business relates to development feasibility, planning applications, section 106/278 agreements and planning appeals.
We are seeking candidates with direct experience in private sector development planning, who are well versed in the production of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
The role will involve supporting directors and managing the workload of graduates and technicians, but we are also seeking someone who will take responsibility for small projects and elements of larger projects, liaising direct with clients, councils and other development team professionals.
We promote motivated staff on merit, as they acquire skills that help the company, rather than when positions become available, so there is scope to grow in the role.
Good listening, verbal and written communication skills are essential. A thorough knowledge of the following software is required: AutoCAD, Excel, Word, TRICS, PICADY, ARCADY, TRANSYT and/or LINSIG.
Common sense and a practical approach to problem solving are qualities that we value highly. The position will appeal to an enthusiastic candidate looking for a varied workload, who wants to work in a friendly company with a reputation for delivering high quality work and an exceptional record for staff retention.
