Acoustic Consultant (Noise Investigation)
Location: Birmingham
Package: GBP50k - GBP60k inc Bonus & Car Allowance

Are you a degree educated Acoustician with a keen interest in noise-induced hearing loss, hand arm vibration and applying scientific methods to the investigation of noise and vibration assessments?
Does data analysis of noise measurements excite you? Do you enjoy calculating exposures times and investigating noise at work environments?
We have a great career progression opportunity for an acoustician to be trained by Experts in Forensic Investigation. My client are very well established in providing a wide range of forensic investigation services and root cause analysis for the insurance and risk management industries as well as the legal profession. They have offices in the UK and overseas with experienced scientists and engineers undertaking investigations worldwide.
The Role
As an experienced acoustician, you will use your detailed knowledge of applicable standards, regulation, legislation and industry codes of practice to investigate and determine a variety of noise-induced hearing loss cases.
You will use both your academic and practical experience to enable you to project manage cases from initial assessment through to and including client liaison and case completion.
About You
We are looking for someone with a good honours degree in Acoustics and ideally a successful postdoctoral research program in a relatable field. As a Chartered Engineer and a member of IOA you will be looking for an opportunity that allows you to be detail-oriented and to produce reports based on your technical findings explaining how you investigated the process, which assessments were conducted, how they were conducted, the reliability of those assessments, what the results were and why they're relevant.
