Warehouse Supervisor

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, family orientated but professional hygiene company delivering excellence in products and services to their clients. They are looking for a full time Warehouse Supervisor to join their growing team in Walsall.

This is a full time permanent position, minimum 45 hours per wk, Mon-Fri, hours between 7am-4pm.

Job Description & Duties:

The Role:

- Maintaining stock control, stock counts and picking orders
- Loading/unloading of commercial vehicles
- Oversee the manufacture of chemicals including organising staff and all relating tasks i.e. monitor wash of tanks in conjunction with manufacturing forms etc.
- Full responsibility of managing the daily running of all aspects of the Warehouse including management of warehouse staff and duties, also ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Responsibility of ensuring the department meets all operational standards including productivity, quality control, meeting deadlines, identifying and resolving problems and identifying purchase system improvements.

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills and attributes:

- Proven ability in stock management
- Proven ability to manage a small team
- Proven ability in planning and organising
- Be qualified to operate a forklift truck
- Sound understanding of stock systems with excellent communication skills
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Computer Literate
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Must be physically fit and strong as this is a manual job which includes continuous lifting
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- A current driving license is essential (Minimum age 25 for insurance purposes)
- Experience within the hygiene and consumables industry would be preferred but not essential

Salary: £21k per annum raising to £22k after a qualifying period.
