My client, a leading drylining specialist, are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. They principally operate throughout the South East of England and have a very healthy order book moving forward. This company turnover in excess of £12 million and are progressively growing. 
 
My client are preferred sub contractors for some of the largest Developers and Contractors in the UK, including the likes of Kier, Willmott Dixon, Taylor Wimpey & Barratt Homes. 
 
They are looking for an enthusiastic construction professional to compliment the commercial team. The ideal candidate would have some construction knowledge (with either a Higher National Certificate or Diploma in Construction Management and/or quantity surveying), although this is not essential. A familiarity with basic materials and fundamental build-processes is preferred, although (again) not essential. The candidate would have to be comfortable working with all Microsoft office programmes (in particular Excel), answering the telephone and generally working within an office environment. They could expect direct client contact (and relationship management at an equivalent level), within a reasonably short period of time (based on progress). 
 
My client are looking for a candidate that is local to the area, and wants to progress within the business, there is huge potential here for the right candidate. 
 
You will be working alongside a Junior Surveyor under the supervison of a vastly experienced Senior, it is important to my client that you are hungry and want to constantly develop your skill set. 
 
This role will be office based primarily, however Site visits will be required from time to time, it is therefore essential that you have your own transport. mileage will be paid at a discretionary prevailing rate.
