Office Manager

Are you an experienced PA or Team Administrator looking for the opportunity to work in a purposeful, sustainable and growing ethical company? Pukka Herbs creates delicious organic herbal teas and incredible health supplements, and is famous for taking people on a journey of self-discovery to a healthier, happier life. We are looking for a talented Office Manager to be the central point of contact across our three sites around Bristol.

Based in our Bristol Head Office with a competitive salary (permanent contract, full time hours), the Office Manager position comes with a benefits package that is designed to nurture your wellbeing.

About the Office Manager role

As Office Manager you’ll be responsible for delivering a work environment that is not only a safe place to work, but also enhances the Pukka team’s wellbeing and enables us to fulfil our sustainable ambitions.

In this uniquely varied administration role you’ll ensure the smooth running of Pukka across our serviced offices and warehouse. You’ll be in control of managing and ordering all office supplies including stationary, food, drink, and business cards, and deliver all office related administration tasks including managing seating plans and employee activities such as yoga. You’ll maintain the look of the office by keeping it tidy and well stocked, as well as working on larger scale high-profile office and facilities projects when needed.

Day-to-day you’ll be the central point of contact for the company, dealing with all general phone enquiries, co-ordinating queries from all departments and managing external suppliers. You’ll be the primary point of contact on the front desk for visitors and items arriving, and will ensure the smooth and timely flow of incoming and outgoing post. In addition, you’ll manage all the facilities contracts including working collaboratively with our serviced office suppliers. When required you’ll support and deputise for our Director’s PA as well as supporting our Health and Safety Officer on all building related compliance matters.

A major responsibility of the Office Manager, soon after joining the team, will be as a key member of the office move project team. This project will consolidate two offices into one larger space (TBC) and will include coordinating the office move, setting up facilities arrangements, finalising office designs and much more!

About You

You’ll ideally be degree qualified or have equivalent business qualifications. Experience in office management or solid experience as a PA to a senior team with comprehensive hands-on office coordination skills are likely to be your background. A driving licence (and preferably a car) is needed to travel between the offices, facilitate the office move project and to assist with Pukka events.

You’ll be confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have experience setting up and maintaining spreadsheets, can seamlessly use Outlook to book meetings, confidently create and collate PowerPoint slides, and be generally proficient navigating systems and databases.

You’ll equally enjoy working on day to day tasks as well as working across large change projects. An innate ability to anticipate problems and effectively resolve issues is essential, whilst maintaining an enthusiastic approach and positive attitude. You’ll be able to confidently manage multiple tasks and have a personable down to earth nature.

Pukka’s exciting growth means you’ll thrive on fast pace and variety, as well as having the ability to retain a clear head and calm approach to prioritising workload, allowing you to work independently and make good judgement calls as the need arises. We are asking a lot of this role, however that won’t phase you. You’ll be efficient, with an empathy for natural remedies and complementary health, be meticulous and take pride in all that you do.
