In this exciting role, the successful Account Director will manage the operational commitments and commercial performance of a key contract across a range of transport, warehouse and logistics services. This will also involve analysing the service levels of the contract to ensure maximum efficiency levels.

Description
As an Account Director the role is to lead the strategic agenda for the sector through development and management of customer relationships, at senior level and realised through retention, further business gains and organic growth of the account(s). Be aware of and contribute to the broader commercial environment, taking responsibility for attracting new and additional business. The aim is to maximise the synergies between these operations and also ensure a continuity and consistency of operational performance. You will be responsible for ensuring a strong client relationship with its key contacts in the sector, we are proactively seeking to add value and innovate where possible and opportunities to grow the account and increase account profitability are identified and pursued.
As the main account lead for the sector the account manager will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with key decision makers within each of the customer's organisations
Maximise communication, understanding and co-operation at all levels to ensure a true partnership approach is developed
Support account development opportunities within the customer base, including relationship management at all levels
Work in partnership with each customer to understand their short and longer term requirements
Be responsible for identifying and delivering new services which deliver mutual value
Working in a matrix structure lead cross functional project teams to develop and implement robust solutions for client related projects
Work with the Business Unit Director and his leadership team to develop and deliver new business opportunities that can maximise the potential of the accounts in question
