Their services cover education, housing, substance misuse treatment and the prevention of reoffending.Our client is looking for a hardworking and committed Learning Support to assist in the delivery of study programme courses in Dover.The Learning Support will be responsible for supporting a wide range of delivery across the centre and providing 11 support to young people with additional needed.Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):* Develop and deliver Lesson Plans* Respond to internal or external complaints promptly, challenging any antisocial behaviour and reporting any risks.* Work with learners with a variety of support needs, including those with emotional and behavioural needs, learning difficulties and those who have disengaged from mainstream education.* Record feedback to the lead trainer on progress of students achievement against targets set including accredited qualifications and pastoral support needs and also work with learners around their individual learning plan* To provide support to students integrated into mainstream classes during lessons and/or by assisting the student with preparation beforehand or reinforcement afterwards.* To act as an escort on visits outside of the Centre.* To attend and participate in regular meetings and student reviews as required.* To liaise with management and staff, parents and other agencies.The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within the post 16 Education sector.* Commitment to enhancing and supporting young peoples education* GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications at level 2 or above)* Excellent Organisational and planning skills and able to deal with conflicting priorities* Team player* Excellent communication skills* Flexible and adaptableSalary for this role based on the hours of work will be GBP8593 per annum DBS required.Benefits offered28 days a year annual leave with the ability to accrue 1 day of additional holiday for every year of service up to 5 years plus bank holidays; pro rata for parttime employeesPension schemeSeason ticket loanWorking 35 hours per week, plus paid lunch break (40 hours in total); pro rata for parttime employeesAs a committed Investor In People (IIP), continued professional development is central to their people and performance management activities.
