Join Care In Mind – A Unique and Innovative Approach to Supporting Young People in Care

Care in Mind provide residential services for young people aged 16-25 years old who have been discharged from psychiatric inpatient stays or secure children’s homes. The young people we care for often require a high level of support and dynamic approach to risk management to support problems they may have with self-harming, behaviour and emotional regulation.

Our aim is to support the young people using a therapeutic approach to live in a non-secure community setting and to achieve their individual goals in preparation for transition to adult life.

Due to an expansion in service delivery we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals who thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment and are particularly interested in working with young people and young adults with complex difficulties.

As part of our continued growth we are now looking to recruit a Registered Manager (full time, permanent) 37.5 hours per week. £25,047 - £35,891 per annum dependent on skills and experience. Hessay, York.

Requirements of a Registered Manager:

- Minimum 12 months’ supervisory management experience

- Must hold the NVQ Level 3 Health and Social – Children and Young People and to hold or a willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Care Services for Young People.

- Experience with working with Quality Care Commission (CQC) or Ofsted registered services.

Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:

- To have overall responsibility to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as the registered manager of the residential home in complying with the requirements and any such legislation as required.

- The provision of quality care and support for all the Young People, ensuring or facilitating their physical, social, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs within the resources available.

- To retain overall responsibility for the general day-to-day running of the home including the standards of both national and local regulations, maintain the quality of care, recruitment, and training issues, and ensure communication with the staff team.
