Trainee Test Engineer / Junior Software Tester - Competitive Negotiable Salary and excellent benefits.
Trainee / Junior Software Test Engineer required by our client, a newly established technical start up software business situated in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that will provide an excellent platform to learn and develop new skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing the company’s products and systems and will provide support where necessary to other engineering teams.
Key roles include:
- Creation test documentation, test plans, procedures and results.
- Liaison with software development teams
- Post product development testing
- Integration testing
- Compatibility testing
- System testing
- Software system configuration
- Preparation and test of software systems
You will need to gain a thorough understanding of the software systems developed and the 3rd party software tools.
The candidate needs to demonstrate:
- Strong technical ability.
- A high degree of self-motivation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of agile/scrum software development methodologies an advantage
- Knowledge of SQL Server is essential and Windows desirable.
- Any testing certifications would be useful, including ISEB or ISTQB.
This role would suit a graduate with a good degree or higher in a software engineering discipline looking to embark upon a career in Software Testing, or a Software Developer/Programmer wanting to move into a Test Engineer role.
