Sue Ross Legal are recruiting for a qualified Lawyer with experience of conflicts and risk management on behalf of our client, a leading, international firm of Solicitors.
The main remit of the role will be;
- Supporting compliance within the company ensuring adherence to client engagement and client intake related rules, regulations and internal company policies and procedures
- Working on tasks and projects relating to client intake or risk management related compliance
- Advising and providing guidance to lawyers within the firm helping them to identify and resolve conflicts of interest and related confidentiality issues
- Working with UK and US based conflicts to facilitate the resolution of US conflict issues
- Providing advice on information barriers
- Preparing briefing papers in relation to the escalation of conflicts of interest
- Dealing with queries relating to conflicts, client engagement and client intake policies and procedures
- Ensuring the effective communication in relation to the implementation of Risk Management policies and procedures
- Identifying training requirements within the company in relation to conflicts, risk management and compliance
- Producing and analysing reports and briefing papers
- Assisting with quality assurance and audit programmes
- Drafting and developing project plans
- Conducting research
- Preparing technical bulletins and updates
For this role as well as being a qualified Lawyer you should also have previous experience in conflicts management and resolution in a large commercial law firm. It is essential that you have a thorough understanding of legal and ethical frameworks, including professional rules, relating to conflicts issues. Experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts would be a distinct advantage.
