So, what will the role of Management Accountant entail?

As a Management Accountant you’ll be responsible for providing outstanding levels of service to a diverse portfolio of clients, with average turnovers of circa £5m per annum. Your responsibilities and duties will include, although not be limited to;

• Taking ownership for delivering comprehensive management accounting services for a portfolio of clients
• Managing clients’ assets including depreciation
• Managing clients’ monthly journals including prepayments, accruals, payroll
• Producing monthly management accounts
• Reconciling balance sheets
• Managing year end statutory accounts including corporation tax
• Attending client meetings
• Overseeing payroll processing
• Managing cash flow of client accounts and liaising with clients reference cash flow forecasts
• Confidently and accurately communicating with clients at all levels from Managing Director to administrative staff
• Assisting and supporting junior staff as required

What will I need to be considered for this Management Accountant vacancy?

• Proven experience gained with management accounts, preferably within industry
• Part qualified or have commenced studies towards CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification (or equivalent)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, and understand the importance of providing outstanding levels of customer service and willing to go above and beyond to achieve it
• Ability to work unsupervised producing work to a high standard
• High level of attention to detail, numerate and literate
• Determination and a ‘can do’ attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Accurate and timely data entry skills
• Good levels of IT literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Working knowledge of computerised accounting packages

Experience gained within a line management is desirable although not essential.

Salary:                          £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, level dependent on current experience and qualifications

Benefits:                       Monthly profit based bonus of circa £2,000 per annum and private healthcare after completion of probation period.  Study support and funding potentially available to complete professional accountancy qualification.

Contracted Hours:         37.5 hours per week

Hours of Work:             Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm. Flexibility will be required to meet business and client needs

Contract Type:              Permanent

Location:                      Newton-le-Willows (St Helens, Merseyside). Easily accessible near to the M6. There is the option to work from the Chester office should this be more convenient, after the initial settling in period.
