Marketing Manager | Maternity Contract
Salary: DOE
Location: Helston
Start date: 14 August 2017
An opportunity for an experienced marketing manager to work for one of the UK's leading speciality coffee roasters on a maternity cover basis. This is a key role within Origin requiring both commercial acumen and a strong eye for brand and design.
The role
- Responsible for appropriate representation of the brand across all offline channels
- Responsible for ensuring all print collateral up to date and effectively supporting appropriate business areas
- Manage and deliver all print collateral and packaging; liaising with internal stakeholders, third party agencies and printers
- Minor in-house design work (adapts)
- Work alongside PR agency to ensure effective delivery of PR plan. Write and edit press releases and press interviews, as required, and organise press samples
- Responsible for responding to all direct media enquiries
- Responsible for soft customer CRM
- Work closely with Digital Marketing Manager (maternity contract) to ensure full integration all channels, ensuring seamless multi-channel customer journeys
- Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to implement offline strategies to drive online sales conversion
- Responsible for retail environments, working alongside the GMs to ensure the environments are on-brand. ensuring all retail sites supported through print communications and
- Responsible for briefing interior designer and managing concept delivery of all new retail sites, working closely with internal team on delivery of the projects
- Manage external events program, working closely with logistics team to plan and deliver each event. Attend events (consumer and trade) to ensure appropriate set ups
- Work alongside wider team to support and promote Origin events, as required
- Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager (maternity cover) to ensure marketing calendar and all department admin kept up-to-date
- Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager (maternity cover) to ensure actual departmental spend is tracking to budget and re-forecast as required
- Responsible for ensuring customers' marketing teams are up to date on the latest news
- Manage and deliver requests for charitable donations
- Work with brand partners to develop engaging content and drive incremental reach
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislations, including data protection and CAP code
- Assist wider team in reviewing and editing formal documents, as required
- Evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor communications
Requirements
Essential
- Min 2 years proven experience in a similar marketing role
- Undergraduate degree educated
- Excellent written and editing skills
- Excellent brief writing skills and third party relationship management
- Strong understanding of brand and design and ability to critically evaluate communications
- Excellent conceptual and creative thinking
- Proven experience driving sales growth and delivering against KPIs
- Design software experience i.e. In Design
- Exceptional time management and project management skills
Desirable
- Relevant professional qualification i.e. CIM
