The role of the Paraplanner is to support the Directors/Mortgage Advisers when informing and advising clients on mortgages and insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Mortgage Advisers in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives
* Supporting the Mortgage Advisers in preparing client recommendations and suitability reports
* Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets
* Research and analysis of mortgage and insurance products to meet client requirements
* Presentation of data to the Mortgage Advisers
* Ensuring that all regulatory and compliance standards are met
* Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties
* Ensuring that all client requirements are followed through to the appropriate conclusion
* Providing support for the Mortgage Advisers allowing them to focus on client relationships and meeting business targets
* Assisting with the administration department to meet regulatory compliance requirements
* Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs
* Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally
The role holder may, from time to time, be required to undertake reasonable additional or other duties as are necessary to meet the needs of the business.
Key Skills
* Sound analytical skills are essential, as are excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work on own initiative and provide suitable solutions for clients
* Ability to develop IT skills and manage research using various industry specific systems
* Experience of working within a similar environment would be advantageous, however training will be provided for a candidate possessing the potential to develop into the role
* Applicants must have experience in a similar role, as a Mortgage Paraplanner or Mortgage Administrator / Mortgage Case Manager or Mortgage Brokering
